Issue with Focus Keyword

    Hi RankMath Team,

The problem I am having today is that I’ve selected “God’s provision” as my focus keyword and it seems like the plug in is not completely registering it and applying towards the SEO score.

It looks like it is registering the keyword in the URL, but not in the title, meta description, etc.

Plus, it is only registering the the URL if I use “gods provision” without the apostrophe.

I’ve attempted the SEO cache flush and it didn’t seem to make a difference.

I’ve attached a screen shot so you know what I’m looking at.

Thank you, I look forward to your help!

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for the inconvenience caused.

I tried to replicate the issue in my local environment and it didn’t show any error: https://i.rankmath.com/i/HZNgTW

Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), there may be a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:

Here is a video you can follow as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcIWRhcUP2c

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

If the issue persists, please update the credentials in the sensitive data area which seem to have expired so we can investigate further.

    Looking forward to helping you.

Gotcha, thank you for your prompt reply and providing the helpful resources.

Out of curiosity, based on what I’ve seen, it seems like the Rank Math SEO plug-in and the score it produces is only for reference and optimization purposes, correct?

Therefore, the score has no impact on Google’s ability to analyze and rank the post or does it have an influence?

    Hello,

Yes, Rank Math will only assist you in optimizing your post to receive maximum traffic by giving you strategic recommendations based on your content. But ranking on Google depends on so much more than just your on-page optimization and plugin recommendations. You could have the perfect article and still struggle to break the top 10 in SERPs.

Here are some of the factors Google considers when ranking you:

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.
