Issue with default product schema – meta title is substituting as product name

    rank math default product schema selects meta title as product name and meta description as schema product description

    have a look at this link

    DSP KA3066 Coffee machine

    I am seeing “DSP KA3066 Coffee machine Price in Pakistan [year]” as the product name, but it should be “DSP KA3066 Coffee machine”

    additionally, why isn’t [year] being processed as 2022? it happens in few places

    you can verify it schema validator

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    This is taking the title from the same data you have for the title of the page but the shortcode cannot be parsed inside the Schema markup which causes this issue.

    ​​​​​​​You would need to probably create a custom variable by editing this filter to get the current year dynamically in a way that would be Schema compliant: https://rankmath.com/kb/filters-hooks-api-developer/#add-extra-variables

    Also, please note that since you are using the PRO version on the website, the support for PRO features doesn’t extend to people using a PRO license from another user.
