    Hello, good day,

    I am reaching out regarding the issue I’m experiencing with connecting Google Analytics to Rank Math. Unfortunately, after multiple attempts, I am encountering the following error:

    “Data import for this service will not work because proper permissions have not been granted.”

    Despite being the administrator of the website and having activated Analytics myself with all necessary permissions, I am still facing this issue.

    Please provide me with a solution to connect Google Analytics to Rank Math.

    Here are some steps you can take to resolve this issue:

    1. Check Permissions: Ensure that you have granted all required permissions to Rank Math. You can do this by disconnecting and reconnecting your Google account with Rank Math. To do this:

      • Navigate to your Google Account.
      • Find Rank Math under Third-party apps with Account access and click on Remove Access.

    2. Reconnect Rank Math: After removing access, go back to Rank Math SEO → General Settings → Analytics and click on the Reconnect button at the top.

    3. Grant Permissions Again: When prompted, make sure to allow all permissions that Rank Math requests during the reconnection process.

    4. Configure Analytics Settings: After reconnecting, ensure that you select all the necessary values in the drop-down list to configure your Analytics properties and then click on Save Changes.

    5. Test Connections: Finally, you can test the connection by going to Rank Math SEO → General Settings → Analytics and clicking on the Test Connections option. A green signal indicates a valid connection, while a red signal indicates an issue.

    To make sure that everything works correctly please go through this article to set up the Analytics module: https://rankmath.com/kb/install-google-analytics/

    If however, you are having challenges with this, then follow the steps below to fix it.

    1. Check to make sure that you have verified Google Search Console, if not, follow this guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/google-site-verification/

    2. Please make sure that you are not connecting to Google Search Console via a domain property but rather a URL prefix and that you have verified the correct version of your website on the Google Search Console (HTTP or HTTPS, www or non-www).

    3. Then remove Rank Math’s access from Google Please remove RankMath’s app from your Google apps permissions: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions

    4. Reconnect the Google account again to regenerate the auth token from Google, by going to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Analytics and configure the Search Console and Analytics settings again

    Kindly check all necessary checkboxes to allow Rank Math to access some of the Google Services.
