    Hi,

is there a way to add FAQ or How To schema if using Divi builder?

I understand this is possible with Elementor now, any plans to expand to Divi? If not is there a roundabout way (as in adding a snipped in WP editor first and then switching to Divi or similar?)

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

Adding a FAQ block to an Elementor/Divi page is not as straightforward as it could be (due to the limitations of not allowing the use of Gutenberg blocks inside Elementor/Divi), but, there’s a workaround.

Here’s a screencast showing the process:
    https://i.rankmath.com/DefBHH

When someone switches to the Block/Gutenberg Editor, adds an FAQ Block, and goes back to the Elementor/Divi – the FAQ block is going to be removed but only from the frontend. The code remains intact in the source code. One can add the HTML of the questions and answers again.

With that being said, there are existing feature requests, so I’ve added your vote to our internal suggestions lists. If your suggestions are something that we’re able to introduce, I’ll be sure to let you know.

I hope that helps. If there’s anything else we can help you with, please let us know.

    Thanks for that, much appreciated!

I don’t use Elementor so cannot comment on your screencast.

I tried this in Divi but it didn’t work out.

I added RM FAQ block and it looked fine but once I switched from Gutenberg to Divi editor the FAQ script code got converted into a plain Divi text block. No trace of it in the page source code… and Google test didn’t pick it up either (it did pick up other RM data, so it is only the FAQ block that was added via Gutenberg disappeared without trace 🙁

    Hello,

I have been able to replicate that. Unfortunately that was the only workaround, this feature is only available when editing posts using the Gutenberg editor.

If you wish you can have a third party Schema plugin that can add the same, if any, and disable Schema module in Rank math

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
