    Hello everyone,

    1. How do you prefer optimizing a page/post with keywords?
    For example, I put the main keyword in the URL then repeat it in the overall content, i.e. in the first paragraph, heading, H1 tag, the title tag.

    If the keyword is “switchboard circuit” the content is about 800 words. Then I’ll use the same exact keyword 7 times.

    But, I have seen websites that are not doing this but still come on the first page of search results. Why do WP SEO tools push to follow the keyword repetition process?

    for example; this blog is not following such a process still ranking high… Link shared.

    Please clear my doubt. I understand I’ll have to do a variation of keywords but rank math doesn’t track it.

    2. If I have optimized a page with keywords “switchboard circuit” later, to boost the ranking, can I mention the “switchboard circuit” word in other related articles? (just mention the word two to 3 times)

    1. Yes, it is recommended to insert the keywords to URL, title, body content and etc. as this should help you further optimize your content but this isn’t fully required. These tests are just guidelines and one does not need to follow them religiously.

    At the end of the day, the content needs to be written for the readers and not for the search engines.

    As for the site that you saw, ranking first even they are not using many keywords to the content, they probably have more domain authority than you. Google tends to prioritize websites with much more domain authority.

    2. Yes, you can do that and while you’re at it, you can also add a link for reference to your posts. However, I recommend minimizing adding the same focus keyword to other posts to avoid keyword cannibalization. Just keep it minimal and simple.
