Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math Support. We are sorry for any inconvenience this must have caused you.
It may be worth considering setting them to ‘No-Index’ in terms of SEO and ranking.
When you use the ‘No-Index’ directive, you are telling search engines not to consider those pages for indexing. This can help improve the overall site quality by systematically removing low-quality or outdated pages from the index.
However, setting these articles to ‘No-Index’ may cause some issues with internal linking if they are linked to indexed pages. Internal links from indexed pages to ‘No-Index’ pages may not pass on as much link juice or authority.
Before making such a decision, it is important to consider a few factors such as evaluating whether the outdated articles still provide value to your audience or, implementing alternative options like simply updating the content that will help the users today.
It’s recommended to perform a content audit to identify pages lacking value and determine the best course of action for each individual page.
We hope this helps you. If you have any more questions, you can reach out to us.
Thank you.
Another quetion: is images in sitemap importnat for SEO?
Hello,
Thank you for your patience.
Yes, having your images indexed is important, as they can show up in the image results. And, with more rich content appearing in the SERPs, it is a good idea to have some visual assets indexed in Google.
This also gives you the opportunity to give Google additional information about images along with image URLs for images they may not otherwise be able to discover.
Hope that helps.
But all images are in Web.p version and Google does not indexed it.
Hello,
The WebP format provides superior lossless and lossy compression for images on the web, leading to faster load times, and faster load times can positively impact SEO as Google’s search algorithms favor fast-loading sites.
Also, please note that WebP images and other image formats are not indexed as HTML pages.
Google is free to index or not index an image if it is attached to a page set to index. It may pick an image within the page or the featured image because it gets the image that is more relevant for the search term
Looking forward to helping you.
