Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and we regret the inconvenience caused.
The source URL in the Redirections module of Rank Math takes relative URLs (without domain). Even if you add an absolute URL while creating the redirection, it would automatically be converted into a relative URL and thus you’re unable to make this redirection with the Redirections module of Rank Math.
It seems like you wish to redirect the www version of the website to non-www. Please follow this guide to achieve this: https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-redirect-www-urls-to-non-www/
Hope this helps.
Thank you.
Hi Prabhat,
Thanks very much for those instructions. I tried both code snippets after following the steps correctly and the problem still exists.
Any idea why this is persisting?
Thanks,
Peter
Hello,
I tested the variations of your website using https://httpstatus.io/ and the HTTPS + WWW variation is returning a “Connection refused by server” error.
Also, the HTTP + WWW variation has 301 and 302 redirections applied.
Here’s a screenshot: https://i.rankmath.com/FdG6sE
Except for the preferred variation (which should return only a 200 status), all the non-preferred variations of the website should have a 301 + 200 status.
Please get in touch with your web host regarding this as they would be able to fix this for you.
Hope this helps.
Thank you.
