Internal links are any links from/in your website.
On the other hand, External links are any domains/websites that are not from your website (Facebook, Google, YouTube, etc.)

Thank you very much, I was already aware of that, but I was wondering why rankmath counted more external links on my homepage than were used, but after a reset of the external links, it works now 🙂
