  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the Instant Indexing feature showing a 404 error. This typically indicates that the page you are trying to index cannot be found. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

    1. Check the URL: Ensure that the URL you are trying to submit for indexing is correct and that the page exists on your site.

    2. Verify Page Status: You can check the status of your website using tools like httpstatus.io. Enter the URL of your page to see if it returns a 200 status code or if there are any errors.
Check website status with httpstatus tool

    3. Redirects: If the page has been moved, ensure that you have set up proper redirects from the old URL to the new one.

    4. Server Issues: Sometimes, server issues can cause 404 errors. If you suspect this might be the case, please reach out to your hosting provider for assistance.

If you have checked all of these and are still experiencing issues, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.

Thank you for raising this concern, and we’re here to help!

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting support.

The 404 error with the get status is normal for pages that have not been submitted to the Instant Indexing API, which is why you are receiving that.

If you are also having issues submitting URLs, our developers are debugging the issue further and when there’s an update on this matter we’ll ping you on this ticket.

    Thank you.
