  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the Instant Indexing feature showing a 404 error. This error typically occurs when the server is not configured correctly to return a 404 status for missing pages. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

    1. Check Your Web Server Settings: Ensure that your web server is configured to return a 404 error for missing pages. If it is returning a 200 status code instead, Google may index the page even though it doesn’t exist. You may need to contact your web hosting provider to fix this.

    2. Verify Instant Indexing Module: Make sure that the Instant Indexing module is enabled in your Rank Math settings. You can do this by navigating to WordPress Dashboard → Rank Math SEO and checking the module settings.

    3. Submit Pages Again: After ensuring everything is set up correctly, try submitting the pages again using the Instant Indexing feature. You can do this by hovering over the post you wish to index and selecting the Instant Indexing: Submit Page option.

If you continue to experience issues, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.

Thank you for raising this concern!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Before requesting to get the status, please try to submit the URL in Publish/Update URL. Once done, please check the URL again with Get URL Status.

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    I have the same problem.

I already applied the google submit the URL in Publish/Update URL, but I get a 404 error!

    Same issue here.

    Hello @mahmoudabokanj and @saltredteam

Getting the 404 error is possible if the page you’re attempting to get the status of is unknown to Google. In this case, you should try submitting the URL to Goole first.

If you’re still experiencing issues with this, please create a new ticket and share access to your website with us.

    Best regards,
