Hi Jeremy, I think I know what’s going on.
About 2 weeks ago I was doing some testing, posting and then deleting quite a few jobs.
Maybe Google saw it as spam, and now it seems to be punishing my site, which was the number one job posting on Google Jobs. That’s why it seems to be refusing to incorporate my jobs and returning a 404.
I don’t know how to fix this, if there’s a way to request reconsideration, or if it’s just a matter of waiting some time.
Could you help me please?
Hello,
Thank you for the additional information.
It’s possible that Google’s indexing system flagged your site for posting and deleting a high number of jobs in a short period, which might have been interpreted as spammy behavior. While there’s no direct way to request reconsideration specifically for the Indexing API, you could:
1. Make sure any test jobs or duplicate content has been removed, and that all active job postings follow the required schema.
2. Continue publishing high-quality, valid job postings consistently. Over time, Google’s system may reconsider the status automatically.
3. See if there are any manual actions or indexing issues flagged by Google. You can also submit a reconsideration request if you suspect there’s been a mistake.
Let’s give it some time to see if the issue resolves on its own. Meanwhile, keep an eye on the performance in Google Search Console for any updates.
Hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
Thanks.
