Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it could be caused by a conflict with one of your plugins/theme.

Dear Team, There Is No Conflict With Plugin Or Theme. This Is A Bug In Instant Indexing Plugin. For Prove I Installed Rank Math And Instant Indexing Plugin On New WordPress Website Using Default WordPress Theme. There Is No Other Plugins Installed On WordPress. I Also Used Two Different Hostings To Check But There Is A Some Bugs In Instant Indexing Plugin That Is Causing This Error. You Can See In Screen Recording When I Click On Send To Api Plugin Shows Only update But The URL Is Not Showing In Index Now History.

Still Update Function Is Not Working. I Tried It Shows Success When We Update More Than 1 URL But In Reality There Is No URL Showing In IndexNow History. This Is Very Disappointing Its More Than 7 Days Still Issue Is Not Fixed. I Am Very Depressed Now. Please Ask Your Developers To Fix This Issue As Soon As Possible.

As we mentioned above, the option to update or publish is currently not working and it’s something that our developers will have to fix.
It’s important to note that Google will continue to crawl the websites, this feature is just to submit pages to the Indexing API, and it’s never recommended to solely rely on this method for indexing. In fact, as we mention in our documentation, Google advises using this only for a particular set of websites.
