I have been receiving a critical error when trying to update my site and got an error report from WordPress confirming Instant Indexing to be the cause:
‘error report in sensitive date’
I deactivated the plugin and now the issue does seem to be resolved. Can you help configure it correctly so that this doesn’t happen. Thank you

Thanks again
I’ll forward this to my host and see if they can fix it. If they cant help and you can’t fix it for me I’ll have to delete the plugin.
I use plugins for their simplicity and because my time and mental focus is already stretched too far to learn new tricks when I don’t have the latitude to prioritise them.
Hopefully my hose can help
Kind regards
Andrew
I spoke to my host and they confirmed again the server is set up correctly.
I tried to follow your guide and am nervous as to whether I did everything correctly as I deleted the service account that was in there in order to create the new one.
On a good note, it does seem the critical error is no longer occurring when I update listings. However, there are some anomalies:
If I select pages or listings in bulk and click on get status I get a 404 error saying ‘requested entity not found’?
I updated / published a selection of pages and did the 1st 2 pages of listings. On the 3rd page it would no longer update / publish. It generated a 404 error saying quota exceeded?
When I look at my ‘Index now history’ in the plugin for all urls submitted a 403 error has been generated ?
Please advise
Thank you
Andrew
Hello,
The “Requested entity was not found” error means that the URL was still not processed by the Indexing API from Google. It’s important to note that the requirements for that have changed and now the URLs go through rigorous spam detection.
Besides that, the guidelines now state that this is exclusive to a particular set of websites, so if your website doesn’t fall under that category or is considered spammy the submission will go through but the API will never parse the URLs.
You can check the full guidelines here: https://developers.google.com/search/apis/indexing-api/v3/quickstart
Looking forward to helping you.
Now I’m not only confused but worried that I have just wasted loads of time for no benefit.
Are you saying this tool is only for recruiting sites? and Media broadcasting channels / websites? In which case the ‘Instant Indexing’ plugin offers no value to any other types of websites such as informational sites, or directories, portals, marketplaces etc. This would basically mean Instant Indexing is no value to the vast majority of websites on the internet, surely that is not the case?
I’ve certainly made no attempts to abuse the indexing API so can you please help me investigate what is going on here? I’d like to use your plugin and I’m concerned that none of my pages are indexing but I feel like I’m getting nowhere in identifying what is causing this?
Hello,
We are extremely sorry but this limitation is from Google, not from our end. Google only allows the API only for two types of websites (job posting and live streams) and goes through rigorous spam detection due to recent changes in Google, it’s much more difficult to get URLs into the API.
So, unless you have one of the website types we mentioned and the content is unique, you won’t be able to use this feature consistently and you shouldn’t as the API was never intended for it as mentioned in our own documentation also.
However, if your pages are not getting indexed, please check your Google Search Console Page Indexing report to determine any issues reported on your site: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/7440203?hl=en
You can share the error message or take a screenshot using this tool and add the link here so we can check as well.
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Thanks for the advice on the passwords, I’ll check that. I can see the limitation is in the description but I still missed it. Maybe this could be made a bit clearer as this is clearly a really important point and wasted both you and I a lot of time. Anyway, I’ll check out your directions regards indexing later. Thanks again, Andrew
Thank you your offer of help you can download a screenshot from here Indexing report screenshot
Let me know if anything else would help
Thanks again
Andrew
Hi
My theme’s author tried installing the ‘instant indexing’ plugin and replied ‘I installed the plugin in my installation and read the description.
The part about job postings and live streams seems to be more of a recommendation, it states that can work with other type of content as well. So I don’t see any issues in trying it
When you install it, go to the settings of that plugin > Google API settings > Submit Posts to Google: > make sure you have selected “Listings”. Do the same in the “IndexNow API Settings” tab’ I’ve attached his screenshot, please let me know what you think. trial installation
Sorry to be a pain but I’ve sent three messages without a response. I am closing for Christmas holidays on Tuesday and wont be working this weekend so I only have the next couple of hours, tomorrow and Monday to deal with this. Thank you, Andrew
Hello,
We apologize for the delay. We are doing our best to reply quickly as we have higher volumes of tickets than expected.
Can you please re-upload the screenshots you shared? All the URLs you shared have expired already.
Alternatively, you can use this tool to share screenshots with us: https://imgur.com/
Please note that Google explicitly limits its use to job postings and live streams, as outlined in their documentation. While the plugin facilitates API requests, it can’t bypass these restrictions if your website’s content doesn’t fall under the supported categories.
The “Listings” setting your theme author referred to is simply a submission method within the plugin. However, it doesn’t change Google’s restrictions or guarantee indexing for unsupported content types.
To resolve indexing issues, please check the Google Search Console’s Page Indexing report and ensure your site follows SEO best practices, such as having quality content, mobile optimization, and proper sitemap submission.
Looking forward to helping you.
