Hello,
Please follow these steps:
1. Go to Rank Math > Instant Indexing > Settings > API Key > Change Key
2. Copy the new API key, and create a txt file in the root directory of your website.
The name of the file should be
yourapikey.txt, and the content of the file should be your API key. Here is a screencast for your reference:

OK that works re verify api key but all instant indexes are still 403 errors
Hello,
In that case, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

Hello,
I logged in to your website, changed the API key, and created a new API key txt file.
IndexNow is now working fine.

Great thanks. I did that but hey all great.
Last question – it’s great in indexes whenever you edit and save – but is that going to result in too much API usage for Google?Hello,
Yes, it is possible to consume API usage if you are frequently updating or publishing content on your website. I suggest updating the content only if needed.
Additionally, you can disable auto submission if you wish to just manually submit the content. You may configure that in the Instant indexing settings page as well.
Hope that helps.
Looking forward to helping you.

Hi
This is still not working but I think you are confused now as I have added details to another site that is having the same 403 error but the ap1 key is verified. So the second site is siteshack.com.au and the sensitive data is now for this site
