Installing analytics - Support

Hi,

I started using the Rank Math plugin yesterday on my website, guidetovegan.com.

I followed this tutorial: https://rankmath.com/kb/install-google-analytics/

However, the analytics do not appear on my Rank Math dashboard.

The only thing I didn’t do is “install analytics code” due to the message below that says: “Enable this option only if you are not using any other plugin/theme to install Google Analytics code.”

I know my site is set up with Google Analytics because I’m able to check it on analytics.google.com, but I’m not sure where the Google Analytics code is. I’m not sure if another plugin is set up to do this. (I realize this is a very beginner thing to say but it’s true — I know I can see my google analytics from Google but I’m not sure where on my site it’s set up and I’m not sure if I need to switch to the new Universal Tag.)

I have the plugin called “Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager by WebKinder” but I’m not sure if it’s even working.

Upon inspecting the source code of your website, I can assure you that the Google analytics code is working (See the Screenshot link I have shared), although you are using the Google Tag Manager plugin, and Rank Math native option “Install analytics code” is turned off.

Thank you for checking this.

Does this mean I can delete the plugin Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager by WebKinder? Or is that how the Analytics are set up?

I’m also still confused how to get the analytics to appear on my Rank Math dashboard. Should I just turn on the “install analytics code”? Or is that not necessary since I use the WebKinder plugin mentioned above?

Hello,

Currently, the Analytics code is using Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager plugin & you don’t need to enable the “install analytics code” option inside Rank Math, But if you don’t want to use the Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager Plugin disable it and then enable install analytic code option from Rank Math.

I have manually fetched the latest data from your google analytics. It will take time to appear inside the dashboard.

How will Rank Math know my Google Analytics code? Does it fetch the data somehow? I would rather use Rank Math for the Google Analytics but I don’t want to mess anything up on analytics.google.com.

I have deactivated Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager Plugin for you and enabled the native Rank Math function for the Google Analytics code. Everything seems to be working now, and soon the analytics data will also appear inside your Rank Math Dashboard.
