Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us. I understand that you want to create a website in a subdomain (museum.domain.com) using Rank Math and ensure that it is not visible to search engines or shareable online. You also mentioned that you want to track page visits.
To achieve this, you can follow these steps:
-
Install Rank Math on your main website: Install Rank Math on your main website (domain.com) following the installation instructions provided in our knowledge base article: How to Install Rank Math’s Free Version.
-
Create a subdomain: Set up a subdomain (museum.domain.com) using your hosting provider’s control panel or domain management interface.
-
Install WordPress on the subdomain: Install WordPress on the subdomain (museum.domain.com) following your hosting provider’s instructions.
-
Install Rank Math on the subdomain: Once WordPress is installed on the subdomain, navigate to the Plugins section in your WordPress dashboard and click on “Add New” to install the free version of Rank Math on the subdomain.
-
Configure Rank Math settings: After installing Rank Math on the subdomain, you can configure the plugin settings according to your preferences. You can refer to our knowledge base article on How to Setup Rank Math SEO Plugin Properly for detailed instructions on setting up Rank Math.
Regarding your requirement for the website in the subdomain to be only visible inside the museum, you may need to implement additional security measures such as password protection or IP restriction to restrict access to the website. Your hosting provider should be able to assist you with implementing these measures.
For tracking page visits, Rank Math has a dedicated Analytics module that pulls out vital information from your Search Console and displays them right inside your WordPress dashboard with useful insights. You can enable this feature and track page visits within your WordPress dashboard. You can find more information about the Analytics module in our knowledge base article: Dedicated Analytics Module & Rank Tracker.
I hope this information helps! If you have any further questions or need assistance with the setup, please feel free to ask.
Best regards,
Rank Math Support

How to Setup Rank Math SEO Plugin Properly
You did not answered how to hide it to search engines
You did not tell how to set pages private to museum
You did now show how to see analytics
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and bringing your concern to our attention.
You did not answered how to hide it to search engines
To hide the entire subdomain from search engines, you can check the Search engine visibility option in WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Reading as shown in the image below:
You did not tell how to set pages private to museum
To do this, you can use a third-party WordPress plugin like https://geotargetingwp.com/ that helps geolocate or detect your users’ location and give them access based on the parameters you set. (The link here is for information only and not an endorsement of the plugin).
You can also request your host to restrict access to your website and allow access from the location of the museum (In this case the host will possibly ask for your longitude and latitude).
You did now show how to see analytics
To track page visits, please follow this guide to set up Rank Math analytics on your website: https://rankmath.com/kb/install-google-analytics/
Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.
