The 202 status code means that the URL has been accepted by the IndexNow API but the site is yet to get verified by the API. You need to wait for IndexNow to verify your website. Once the site is verified, you should see a 200 status.

thanks for your reply. I have in the History Log published Posts over 4 month old, and all have 202 Status.
Is there an option to force verify for IndexNow somehow?

Unfortunately, there is no fixed/estimated time for this.
Just for testing, could you manually submit a URL, from Rank Math > Instant Indexing, and see what status is returned?

In this case, please try changing the API key on your site and ensure that the key is working properly.
Please follow these steps:

Once done, give it some time to verify your site.

Is there an estimate, when it should work? Are there any specific IP Adress somehow to exclude / whitelist for proper api working conditions?

Unfortunately, as mentioned in our previous reply, we have no fixed/estimated time when Google would verify the API. It’s up to them, as long as you received the 202 response, which means that Google has seen your request.
Can you please try copying the API key path and paste it here so we can check?

As for your question, you can change the API key from the same settings page of IndexNow. Here’s a guide regarding the button you need to click: https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-use-indexnow/#change-api-key
Once done, you can clear your website’s cache and continue optimizing the website and submitting the URLs to IndexNow and hopefully, the website would get verified in the future.
