Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with the IndexNow API integration in the Rank Math plugin. Thank you for providing detailed steps you’ve taken to troubleshoot the problem.
Here are a few suggestions that might help resolve the issue:
-
Check API Key Location: Ensure that the API key is accessible for search engines. You can do this by navigating to Rank Math SEO → Instant Indexing → Settings and using the Check Key button to verify if the API key is served correctly. If it is accessible, it should display your API key in a new tab.

-
Response Codes: When you submit URLs, check the response codes in Rank Math SEO → Instant Indexing → History. If you see a 429 response code, it indicates that too many requests have been sent from your IP address. In this case, you may need to wait before submitting more URLs.

-
API Key Regeneration: If you suspect that the API key might be compromised or not functioning properly, you can regenerate it by clicking on the Change Key option in the Instant Indexing settings.

-
Server Configuration: Sometimes server configurations or security settings can block API requests. Ensure that your server allows outgoing connections to the IndexNow API.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, please reply to this ticket with any additional details or error messages you might encounter, and a human agent from our support team will assist you further.
Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to helping you resolve this issue!

Hello,
The error status when submitting your URL is 429.
This is common with websites on a shared hosting server, so you can get in touch with your hosting provider to clarify this issue.

Looking forward to helping you.
Please tell me what I need to do I am really worried what I say to my hosting provider
Hello,
The 429 error indicates that too many websites sharing the same IP address are attempting to access the API.
You can confirm or ask if your site is hosted on a shared IP hosting.
If you are on shared hosting, other sites on the same server might be using up the quota assigned to your shared IP address. This is a common issue that can lead to receiving 429 errors.
Looking forward to helping you.

No, there are no such restrictions. You can check the error/access logs available in your control panel to confirm this.

Sir please response my massage
Hello,
Just to make sure this is not something with our plugin, please try using the plugin that Bing created for this purpose (https://wordpress.org/plugins/indexnow/) on the website, and if that is also failing, we can be sure it’s not only related to our plugin but with the submission on your website.
Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Sir I am truly worried and unsure of how to resolve an issue I’ve been experiencing with the Instant Indexing plugin. When I try to submit URLs, I receive no response. After contacting your support team, I was informed that this is due to a 429 Too Many Requests error. However, I only submit 1 or 2 articles per day, so I am certain that I am not sending too many requests to Google.
I was advised to contact my hosting provider, as the issue might be related to other websites sharing the same IP, which is common on shared hosting. I followed this advice and contacted my hosting provider, but they informed me that they use autoscaling cloud servers where multiple servers share the same IP and that they do not offer dedicated IP addresses. They then directed me back to your support team, and now I feel stuck.
Rank Math support says the issue is with my hosting provider, and my hosting provider says it’s not their issue. I don’t know where to go, and I feel helpless. I’ve tried everything I can, including testing the Bing Instant Indexing plugin, which worked once, but then the issue returned.
Could you please help me further with this? I am really worried and would appreciate any guidance you can provide to resolve this situation.
please I add my WordPress details in sensitive data please check and help me to solve the issue
Sir please response me I am really worried
its 10 hours ago I received no response please help me
Hello,
Since the same issue happens with the plugin that Bing created, it implies the problem is not Rank Math specific.
Also, since your hosting provider is using autoscaling cloud servers, other websites might be consuming the API quota for your shared IP address. You may want to ask them if they can offer any additional resources or a dedicated IP temporarily to see if that resolves the 429 errors.
We hope this helps.
Thanks.
