Indexing Issue caused by RM Plugin?

    Hey guys,

    something really weird happened to my site since using rank math and its sitemap generator.

    I am not yet sure if its caused by the plugin but I simply cannot find another answer for my problem, maybe you can help me out?

    I noticed that several of my pages are not ranking anymore. After some time I looked deeper into it and checked the GSC and sitemap, see screenvideo: https://streamable.com/etqgpl

    The sitemap itself looks fine no? Even the registered URLs are correct. However, it seems that Google cannot properly read it. Normally the three sitemaps would show here under the index right (see below)?

    I really don’t know what to do as I don’t find any technical issue..

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    That is really weird, in fact, if you had any issue in the sitemap, Google Search Console would notify you, and you don’t have any alert, don’t you?

    Could you try removing the sitemap from GSC and adding it again. After that wait a few days and see if it is fixed.

    Yes GSC is showing no issues…

    I have tried to resubmit the sitemap a couple of times, no changes. Would you sugguest to additionally submit all sitemaps that are within the index file?

    Hello,
    Can you please follow these steps?

    1. Remove the existing sitemap on your GSC

    2. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

    3. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

    4. Head back to your GSC and resubmit the main sitemap URL.

    If this still doesn’t fix your issue, you can try submitting each of the individual sitemaps.
