Indexed Thin Pages

    I have checked what pages have been indexed on Google use Site:Website I have seen that there a quite a few thin content pages (attachment pages) that are indexed that could be affecting my SEO, I have not submitted the attachment sitemap to my Google Search Console but it is indexing the attachments. Can I No index these attachment pages or is it normal to have them indexed?

    You can also see the index has the attachment-sitemap included

    Hello,

    Thank you for getting in touch with us.

    You can disable the attachments from WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Links.

    Or, you can noindex them from WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Attachments.

    Thank you for your response,

    So it is already noindexed under Titles & Meta > Attachments

    So if i enable the ‘Nofollow Image File Links’ will it only noindex my attachment pages, will it noindex my images too?

    Hello,

    No, images are files where you can’t add code (they are jpg, png and so on…) so the No Follow tag will only be added to the attachment pages and not the images themselves.
