    Hello, I have installed a rank math plugin on a new website but I have not created any properties or anything in the search console and some pages are indexed that I would like to remove. How did it happen like that?
    If I see in google site:mysite.com it shows some pages there which I don’t want to index.
    How does it happen like that?

    And Also On another website when I share the link On social media it is not showing the expected thumbnail image. I have tried all the ways to fix them by reading articles and watching the video guide but none of them worked for me.

    Could you confirm if you’ve set the site to Index? In any case, if you want to get the pages removed from the search results, then you can mark them as noindex: https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-noindex-urls/

    If you want to get the whole website removed from the SERPs, then please head over to your WordPress admin area > Settings > Reading, and select the Discourage search engines from indexing this site option.

    This should mark the website noindex. Please note that if the website is already indexed, then it can take time to get removed from the SERPs.

    Regarding the social media issue, please share the affected URL so that we can have a closer look.

    These are the links for social media where the preview in rank math is correct but if posted on social media it shows another image

    Hello,

    Thank you for that information.

    I’ve checked the URLs, and the og:image tag refers to a different image.

    I’m assuming that the first image appearing in your content was the image you have set using Rank Math. If so, those images are in .webp format that’s why they are not being used for the social image tag (og:image).

    Please ensure that the image you’re using has the recommended image size for social sharing image, which is as close as 1200 x 630 pixels, and the image file format you are uploading is only between jpeg, gif, or png as per Opengraph Standards.

    Once done, clear your website’s cache and check them using Facebook Debugger Tool or Twitter Card Validator tool.
