Hello,
Thanks for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Please share the URL of your sitemap so we can check this further. Also, please install WP Crontrol on your site and navigate to WP Dashboard > Tools > Cron Events to make sure that the cron jobs are working fine on your site.
Looking forward to helping you.
The sitemap url is
https://www.treadmillguides.in/sitemap_index.xml
Also installed the plugin. But what to do now? How to check, identify error, and fix it?
Hello,
If you are referring to the “Indexed, not submitted in the sitemap” message this is not an issue.
This just means that Google has indexed the page but not via the sitemap.
As long as your website is getting indexed, be it via the sitemap or via other methods such as internal linking it’s all that matter.
Having said that, there are some things not correctly configured on your website.
Starting with the robots.txt file you should only include one instance for the sitemap and it should have the main index sitemap, not the posts or pages sitemap.
The sitemap is not accessible by the Googlebot and it’s returning a 403 error so your firewall is blocking access to it which is likely causing this issue:

We would recommend checking with your hosting provider to see if anything is blocking the Googlebot from crawling those pages.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
As far I remember, i didn’t edit anything in robot.txt. It was added by rankmath and didn’t touch it.
And how to fix 403 error in sitemap? Please suggest?
I use yoast seo in other websites, and never had a problem. First time I tried rank math and it’s giving me headache.
Can you solve this issue , so I can revive my site ?
Hello,
As far I remember, i didn’t edit anything in robot.txt. It was added by rankmath and didn’t touch it.
These are the rules that Rank Math by default adds to the robots.txt: https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-edit-robots-txt-with-rank-math/#default-rules
As the robots.txt on your website has some custom rules, if you’ve not edited it, it is likely that you have a physical robots.txt file in your website’s root directory.
Please login into your website via FTP/cPanel and see if there’s a physical robots.txt file in your website’s root directory. If yes, you can delete/rename that file and clear the website’s cache to allow Rank Math to add its virtual robots.txt with the default rules. You can then add the required rules by following the above guide.
And how to fix 403 error in sitemap? Please suggest?
As mentioned by my colleague, please reach out to your hosting provider to see if anything (like a firewall/security service/plugin) is blocking the Googlebot from crawling the sitemap. The sitemap should be fully accessible to Googlebot in order to get crawled properly.
Let us know how that goes.
Thank you.
Hi, I have included one instance for the sitemap and it is the main index sitemap.
And hosting provider is unable to solve my problems of 403 errors.
They said they don’t see any problem.
Hello,
Your sitemap is working fine now and Googlebot is able to crawl it. Please resubmit the sitemap and wait for Google to crawl it again.
Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.
Yes, it’s working fine now. GSC is also showing ‘submitted and indexed” thanks for your help.
I can work on this site now, I hope I will be able to revive this and get rest of the posts indexed.
Wish me luck.
Have a great day ☺️
