Hi,
According to Google Search Console, 8 posts of mine are not being indexed. I have checked this article https://rankmath.com/kb/error-submitted-url-marked-noindex/ and followed the steps on it.
On the posts that are not indexed, I checked whether URLs Have Been Marked As ‘NoIndex’ and they weren’t.
I also checked Rank Math’s Titles & Meta Settings and Global settings are set to ‘index’This is the error I get in Google Search Console
What can I do about this, please? Thanks!

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
The link you shared seems to be the sitemap of a website and it’s perfectly normal that the sitemaps are set to
noindex
as you wouldn’t want those appearing on SERPs but rather the links that they contain. This doesn’t prevent Google from crawling the sitemap to update the SERPs and index your website pages.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
Hi Miguel,
Thank you for your message.
According to Google search Console its these pages that are not indexable (not the sitemap, which is totally fine)
[Moved to Sensitive Data]
Please see my video on the Sensitive Data section.
How can these posts be set to index please? I already tried the steps in the initial message I sent.
Thanks!Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
Thank you for that information.
I’ve checked those URLs, and they are already included in your sitemap. However, from your screencast, it seems that Google hasn’t crawled those since July. You can notice the Last crawled date data as well on the report.
In this case, please remove all the sitemaps submitted in your Google Search Console account and resubmit your main sitemap only /sitemap_index.xml.
Once done, give Google some time to recrawl your site.
I hope that helps.
Thank you.
Thank you very much for your message!
That explains it then.Something else.
My attachment sitemap for images only shows a few of the images on my website, do you know why? Please see the video on the Sensitive data. Thanks!
Hello,
For initial troubleshooting, please make sure that your sitemap is not getting cached. Please follow these steps:
1. Ensure you’re using the latest version of your plugins/theme including Rank Math plugins.
2. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
https://i.rankmath.com/xXXhDt3. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server:
https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/If the issue still persists, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
Do note that only the images that are attached to your pages are being added to the attachment sitemap.
Could you please confirm if all your images in your media are added directly on the post content or you are using a Divi to add the images on the post?
If the issue persists, please check if you have any server-level caching software that might be still caching your sitemap pages such as Cloudflare.
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
Hi,
Thank you for your message.Yes, all the images that are currently attached on my pages are currently NOT being added to the attachment sitemap.
All the images on my website are added via the Media Library of WordPress and Divi.
I checked, and Cloudflare already has rules to avoid caching the sitemaps of my multisite (2 languages). Please see this screenshot. https://www.screencast.com/t/JWOId7KyO
What else can I try please?
Thank you very much!
Have a lovely day.
IballaHello,
We wanted to further investigate this issue on your site, but it seems that the temporary login link you have provided is already expired.
Could you please check and update?
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Hi,
I want to use the plugin temporary-login-without-password so you can investigate this issue that not all the images are showing on the Spanish and English sitemaps. However I need an email address from you to be able to fill the fields out. Can you provide an email address so I can use it please? https://www.screencast.com/t/gxIoDatxCz
Thank you!!Hello,
Sure, please use the email
s******@r***********
to create the login link and then share the link in the sensitive data section of this ticket.Looking forward to helping you.
Hi,
Thank you for your message.Hi,
I am a bit confused here. Is the indexation of images the same as putting the images on a sitemap?
I want my images to appear on Google image search, but I don’t want the links of images to appear on the SERP as they do now.
Check my video in Sensitive data please; What can I do please?
Thanks!!
Hello,
The links are likely bringing you to a page because you have the redirect attachments option enabled.
You can check that under WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Links:
What is appearing now on SERPs are the attachment pages and you can set those to be
noindex
by editing the settings under WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Attachments:
Also, please note that recently Google changed the way it displays titles on SERPs: https://developers.google.com/search/blog/2021/08/update-to-generating-page-titles
Hope this helps clarify your doubts and solve the issues.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
Hi,
Thank you for your message.
Sorry, I think my question has been misunderstood. This thread is about indexation and images.I am ok that the links of images on the SERP redirect to the pages they belong to. That is not the issue.
The issue is that don’t want the links of images to appear on the SERP as they do now (even if they redirect to the page they belong to).I just want my images to appear on ‘Google Image Search’.
How can I index all my images? Most of my images are not showing on the image sitemap.Thank you very much!
