Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with your sitemap and indexing. It’s important to ensure that all relevant pages are included in your sitemap, as this can affect how search engines crawl and index your site.
Here are a few steps you can take to address this issue:
-
Check Sitemap Settings: Ensure that your Rank Math settings are configured to include category and tag archives in the sitemap. You can do this by navigating to Rank Math > Sitemap Settings and checking the options for including categories and tags.
-
Review Pagination: Pages like page/2
are typically pagination links. If these pages are not providing unique content, you might consider using the noindex
tag on them to prevent them from being indexed. This can help focus Google’s attention on more valuable pages.
-
Internal Linking: Make sure that your important pages have internal links pointing to them. This can help improve their visibility to search engines.
-
Content Quality: Ensure that the content on your indexed pages is of high quality and provides value to users. Google may exclude pages from indexing if they are deemed low quality or duplicate content.
-
Use the URL Inspection Tool: In Google Search Console, use the URL Inspection Tool to check the status of specific pages. This can provide insights into why certain pages are excluded from indexing.
-
Submit Sitemap: After making changes, resubmit your sitemap in Google Search Console to prompt Google to re-crawl your site.
If you continue to experience issues or need a more comprehensive setup, we recommend considering our professional setup service offered by our team for users with a PRO subscription. This service ensures that your plugin setup is fully correct and adheres to the latest SEO standards.
Thank you for raising this concern, and we hope these steps help improve your site’s indexing situation!

Hello,
Thank you so much for getting in touch.
The pages you’re referring to (like /page/2, etc.) are paginated archive pages generated dynamically by WordPress. It’s completely normal for these not to be included in the sitemap as Rank Math excludes them by design to prevent potential content duplication issues.
These paginated URLs should have a canonical tag pointing to the main archive page (e.g., /archive/), which helps search engines index your content correctly.
As long as your canonical tags are set properly and there are no critical errors in Google Search Console, there’s no need for concern.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any other questions.
