Incorrect Post Description in Rank Math Preview

    Hi,
    I’m getting incorrect post descriptions instead of the excerpt in Rank Math post preview.
    This happens both if I explicitly set the Description to %excerpt% and if I leave it blank.

    Is there a way to resolve this?
    It makes the preview quite useless (not to mention the fact that it’s kinda disturbing to see).

    Hello,

    Thank you for getting in touch with us.

    When you choose the %excerpt% option, Rank Math will pick the first paragraph and use it as the meta description. Is that “Pros” the first paragraph on your post?

    If you want to use a custom meta description, enter one manually like this:
    Classic Editor – Add a Meta Description: https://i.rankmath.com/dhECkg
    Gutenberg – Add title and description – https://i.rankmath.com/ZO21Cd

    Hi Uzair,
    thanks for your reply.
    I know what %excerpt% is supposed to do, and no that “Pros” is definitely not the first paragraph in the article. Not even near.
    That’s why I was asking.

    I checked your post but I can’t replicate the issue from end. It is likely it was just a caching issue. I tested your post in both Gutenberg and Classic Editor, please check the screencast I added in the sensitive section.
