incorrect internal link count

    I’m working on building up my SEO and recently downloaded RankMath and noticed that the number of internal links listed for some of my posts are very high.

    For example: I have a blog about the Phillipines. It is the only post I have about that country and it says that post has 14 internal links.

    I’ve noticed strangely high numbers for other posts as well. Any idea how I can fix this?

    If you are seeing incorrect internal link count, please head over to your WordPress dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database Tools and on this page, please click on the button “Remove transients” and “Rebuild Index”.

    Also, please consider on clearing your website cache and check the internal link counts again.
