Immediate loss of longterm SERPS after activating RankMath

#1065661
  • I have a question regarding your “Configuration” service.

We have a site that has been running for over 20 years.

The past 10 years has been running Yoast.

We have a handful of 4-6 keywords that rank on first page of SERPS (and have done consistently for over 10 years) which we generally monitor to gauge the performance of the site.

We migrated to Rank Math on the 4th of July. Within 3 days of doing so, ALL of these previously mentioned keywords have vanished from 1st page of SERPS, some dropping 30 – 50 positions.

    This of course is ridiculous.

No content was modified, all settings were correctly migrated from Yoast using your import tool/wizard. Including redirections, schema, sitemaps etc.. Everything is correctly indexed with no blocking in robots. Google search console shows no indexing issues, no penalties and correctly implemented schema

    Something is seriously wrong.

We’ve paid for the pro license (which we will get getting refunded for if SERPS does not improve in the next few days)

is your “Configuration” service likely to resolve this, if not we will be getting a refund and reverting back to Yoast…. again, just to be clear, no content has been changed.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support.

As requested, we have initiated a refund on your requested transaction. You should see a credit for the refund appear on your credit card statement anytime between now and the next 5 to 7 business days.

If you used a debit card for the payment, the refund might take up to 30 days to appear on your statement. Please note that refunds for international transactions can take up to 10 days to appear for credit cards or up to 60 days for debit cards.

For PayPal, it’s always almost instant.

As of the month date, you won’t be able to access those premium features we refunded.

We are continuously improving our products so we would request you to check back in the future to see if we might have something relevant to your needs.

We would much appreciate any feedback you have to offer.
