Immediate Fix Required: PHP Warning & WP Compatibility

#1094375
  • Hello, Plugin Developer Team,

I am using your Fast Indexing / Instant Indexing API plugin on my WordPress site. In the admin panel, the following PHP warning appears:

Warning: Attempt to read property “id” on null in /wp-content/plugins/fast-indexing-api/includes/class-instant-indexing.php on line 1021

    The plugin also shows:
“This plugin has not been tested with your current version of WordPress.”

    My current environment details are:

    * WordPress Version: 6.8.2
    * PHP Version: 8.2

This indicates a compatibility issue with the latest WordPress and PHP versions, affecting admin functionality. I request your team to provide an urgent fix or update so that the plugin works properly without generating any PHP warnings.

    Thank you,
    Chhatrapati Ankur

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the Fast Indexing / Instant Indexing API plugin. The warning you are encountering suggests that there may be a compatibility issue with the plugin and the current versions of PHP and WordPress you are using.

To address this, we recommend the following steps:

    1. Check for Plugin Updates: Ensure that you have the latest version of the Fast Indexing plugin installed, as updates often include fixes for compatibility issues.
    2. Contact Plugin Support: Since this is a specific issue related to the Fast Indexing plugin, we suggest reaching out to the plugin’s support team directly for assistance. They will be better equipped to provide a fix or update for the compatibility issue you are experiencing.
    3. Downgrade PHP Version: If possible, consider downgrading your PHP version to 7.4 or 8.0 temporarily, as some plugins may not yet be fully compatible with PHP 8.2.

If you continue to experience issues, please reply to this ticket with any additional details or questions, and a human agent from our support team will assist you further.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Please make sure to update your Instant Indexing plugin to version 1.1.21.

If the issue persists, head over to your WP Dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > System Status and click the “Copy System Info to Clipboard” button, and paste it here so we can further analyze the issue.

Looking forward to helping you with this one.

    Hello,

Thank you for your response. The Instant Indexing plugin is already updated to version 1.1.21.

However, the issue still persists. I am ready to share the System Info for further analysis. Before doing so, I would like to confirm if it is safe to share this information, or if any sensitive details should be removed beforehand.

Looking forward to your guidance so I can provide the necessary details securely.

    Hello,

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Hello Team,

Thank you for your response and support. I understand that you would like WordPress and FTP logins for debugging. However, for security reasons, I cannot share my main website’s admin and FTP credentials.

Instead, I can provide you with:

Detailed error logs and debug information (from WP Debug / server error logs).

Screenshots or steps to reproduce the issue.

Please let me know which option would work best for your team. I will be happy to share the required information in a safe manner.

    Hello,

    We completely understand that.

In this case, please share the error log so we can check the issue.

You can upload the file to https://wetransfer.com/ or any file-sharing service like Google Drive and add the generated link in the sensitive data section.

If possible, you can share a staging site login instead of your live site.

Here is a guide that could be really useful for you on how to create a staging site: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-create-staging-environment-for-a-wordpress-site/

    Looking forward to helping you.
