Hello, we apologize for the issue you are facing with your images not getting indexed or showing up on Google search. This can indeed impact your traffic significantly.
Here are some steps you can take to improve the chances of your images being indexed:
-
Use High-Quality Images: Ensure that your images are high-quality, properly sized, and optimized. This increases the likelihood of them being featured in Google’s image search results.
-
Relevance to Content: Make sure that your images are relevant to the content on the page. This helps Google’s algorithm determine how to rank your images.
-
Submit Your Page to Google: You can submit the page containing the images to Google using the Google Search Console. Use the URL Inspection tool to check if the URL is indexable and click on REQUEST INDEXING if it is not already indexed.

-
Check Robots.txt File: Ensure that your robots.txt file is not blocking Google from crawling your site. You can use the robots.txt testing tool to verify this.
-
Wait for Indexing: After submitting your page, it may take a few days for Google to index it. If everything is set correctly and Google still does not show your images, it might be due to other factors like relevance or authority.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Please note that Rank Math doesn’t have any control over how images in the SERP results are displayed and search engines display them as per their will and it mostly depends on the keyword search term and the website authority. The Google Search algorithms select the image’s information as it believes it would benefit the users.
In this case, you may try to add relevant ALT text to the featured image or image you wanted to show, and chances are search engines will refer to it.

You may refer to Google’s official guide on optimizing the images here: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/google-images
We hope that helps.
