When turning on “Add missing TITLE attributes” in General Settings -> Images, image TITLE attributes are all populated with the same value from one product when using %title% as HTML is rendered (even when there is already a populated TITLE attribute for the image), regardless of actual image/post values.
Goal: To populate empty TITLE attributes for images with the Product Title.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Can you please share the affected product URL with us so we can further check it on our end?
Looking forward to helping you on this one.
You can see the issue in the “Recommended For You” carousel on the front page: https://staging4.soonerknives.com/. Every image has picked up the bogus TITLE attribute value of “Bear & Son Rosewood Trapper”, even though none of these images are from that product. If you steady your mouse over each pic in the carousel, you will see the mouse tooltip pop up with the TITLE value.
Hello,
I’ve tried checking your staging site, but it seems that it requires a username and password for viewing.
Could you please also share that information in the sensitive data section?
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
I am so sorry – I had the URL protected…I have removed it from protected status, and you should be able to see it now, without any extra security. Again, I apologize…
Hello,
No worries. we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress login in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
Thank you for providing the login details.
I checked the admin dashboard and it seems the “Title attribute format” is configured to fetch a value from this custom field
%customfield(image_title)%
. This is the current configuration:-x- %customfield(image_title)% %title%
This current configuration doesn’t return the custom field value as Rank Math can’t find any field for
image_title
so it only displays “-x-” and the title.Hope this gives you a further idea of the situation.
Looking forward to helping you.
The rest that I have TITLE attribute set to “-x- %customfield(image_title)% %title%” is not the issue, I was trying to get the custom fields to populate title since %title% is always wrong.
The problem is that “%title%” in the TITLE attribute only produces “Bear & Son Rosewood Trapper”, not the actual product/post title. This should be the title for the actual post, not one value (picked up from where???).
I have removed the extra “%customfield(image_title)%”, and you can see the “-x-” is output along with “Bear & Son Rosewood Trapper” for %title% in the mouse hover tooltip.
Hello,
Allow me to check this one with our developers. We should get back to you shortly with advice or a solution.
We appreciate your time and patience on this one.
Hello,
We checked the website but we were not able to replicate the issue. The images we checked had the correct title according to the post.
Please check this screencast: https://i.rankmath.com/LNdkNe
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
The issue is on the homepage, as stated above. All of the item (& brand) pics on the homepage have the value “Bear & Son Rosewood Trapper” for the TITLE attribute on every item/brand pic, as stated above.
The HTML is wrong on the homepage for the item/brand pics. The setting being used is RankMath -> General Settings -> Images -> Title attribute format: “%title%”. Please advise on this problem.
Hello,
We apologize for the inconvenience.
As I observed, our variables can’t determine the correct title when you add the product image using the Kadence block, specifically the “Product Carousel” carousel. Can you please check this with Kadence support and ask how the products are looped for this specific block?
At the moment, the automatic alt attribute for your images is indeed working on your website except for the Product Carousel block.
Looking forward to hearing an update from you.
However, even the brand pics, under “Choose A Brand” have the same issue with the TITLE attribute – they all have the wrong TITLE attribute as well, and those are just IMAGE blocks with a pic.
I also might point out that the pics that are in question, both in the Product Carousel and the IMAGE blocks in the “Choose A Brand” section all have TITLE attributes already populated (with different values, based on the item they represent). This existing value is ignored and the wrong TITLE attribute is populated in the HTML (all showing the same TITLE value: “-x- Bear & Son Rosewood Trapper”). You can see this behavior in the “Featured For You” section pics, as well, which all are simple IMAGE blocks.
