  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the indexing of your Hindi blog posts. When using WPML with Rank Math, it’s important to ensure that your multilingual setup is correctly configured to allow search engines to index your content properly.

Here are a few things to check:

    1. Sitemap Submission: Ensure that your main sitemap index (usually found at domain.com/sitemap_index.xml) has been submitted to Google Search Console. Rank Math automatically includes translated posts in the sitemap, so if your Hindi posts are not appearing there, it could be a configuration issue.

    2. Hreflang Tags: WPML adds hreflang tags to your translated pages, which helps Google understand that these are different language versions of the same content. Make sure these tags are present in the source code of your Hindi pages.

    3. Content Quality: Ensure that your Hindi content is unique and of high quality. Google may take longer to index content that it perceives as low quality or duplicate.

    4. Crawl Budget: Keep in mind that Google assigns a crawl budget based on various factors, including your site’s authority and the frequency of posting. It might take some time for new content to be indexed, especially if your site is new.

    5. Wait Time: As mentioned in our documentation, it can take days or even weeks for Google to index new content. If you have just published your Hindi articles, it might be worth waiting a little longer.

If you’ve checked all these aspects and the issue persists, we recommend replying to this ticket so a human agent from the Rank Math Support team can assist you further.

Thank you for raising this concern!

    Hello,

Could you please share the affected URL so we can check and verify it?

Meanwhile, in your Google Search Console, you should use the URL inspection tool to know their status.

    Looking forward to helping you.

I am getting page not found error for my sitemap:https://gkwisdom.com/hi/post-sitemap.xml and for https://gkwisdom.com/hi/sitemap_index.xml

    Hello,

Please note that the sitemap generation for multilingual websites is controlled by the translation plugin, not by Rank Math. We add the main language sitemap and then the translation plugin handles how the other pages are added to the sitemap, or if they should get added to the sitemap.

For more details on this issue, you can check this URL: https://rankmath.com/kb/translated-pages-not-in-sitemap/

However, your hindi language pages are already showing on your main sitemap:

Regarding the issue on Google Search Console, the “Crawled – currently not indexed” message means that Google has found the URLs but has not yet decided whether to index them. You can follow the URLs below that explain these in detail: https://rankmath.com/kb/crawled-currently-not-indexed/

Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.
