I’m not quite sure whether I fully understand your question. But I’ll do my best, and please let me know if I misunderstood.
You should only have one Analytics account associated with your domain.
If the tracking code is added twice to the website, you might have added the code manually as well as with Rank Math, to confirm, disable the Install Analytics code option at Rank Math > General Settings > Analytics.
That should fix the issue.

Ok that’s a great start but i think what happened was that I created a GA4 type of property first… and then I started using RankMath and when following the docs I was instructed to create a Universal analytics property which I did.
So now when I go to GA directly I see 2 entries for my single website…
Is that making things any clearer?
Also, I have added code to my WP site using ‘Inset headers and footers’ plugin… So right now I have both the code added there PLUS i have selected ‘Install analytics code’ in rank math… eeeek !!!
Are we thinking that I should not have done that? That in fact rankMath was already doing that form me?

You can delete the GA4 property from your Analytics account and only keep the Universal Analytics property.
The GA4 property starts with G-
and Universal Analytics is with UA-
.
You have added the tracking code twice, you should only add it with either Insert Headers and Footers plugin or with Rank Math.

You can keep the GA4 property in your Google Analytics account but make sure you select the GA3 property in the Rank Math Analytics dropdown.
If you still want to delete it, go to your Google Analytics account > Admin Settings > Select Property > Move to Trash Can.
