Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.
I’m assuming you are referring to the list view showing that data. Since you have imported your settings from Yoast, the list view on your WordPress dashboard will show N/A.
The tests work when you open the post or page, and then the JS for calculating the test runs. When the test runs and you hit the update button, the score gets propagated to the list view as well. Since you imported the keywords, the JS didn’t run and the score didn’t calculate.
You will need to open the post, let the tests run, make optimizations based on our recommendations, save the post/page and the score will get propagated to the list view.
If you were to import any other plugin from another SEO plugin – you would need to follow the same procedure.
I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.
Do you mean by ( open post ) mean ( edit post ) and hit save??
This means I have to edit 6000 posts to get imported score?!
Hello,
Unfortunately, there is no feasible way to automate this process.
The score is calculated on the fly when you load a page. We cannot do it at once as that would require loading each page in the background and for websites with thousands of posts like yours, it might even take the server down.
We actually tried automating that process before but we discovered it is bad for the Search engines, even if you do it slowly in the background.
Some of the tests only run when you load up a post so the score gets saved when you hit the update button. But, hitting the update button without changing any content on your website might cause some confusion to the Search engines. Google will think you are trying to manipulate the date Google sometimes shows beside your search result (https://i.rankmath.com/BiZDrV). So updating the post without changing anything will build up suspicion and might cause your website to rank down in the SERPs.
So, we recommend that you start with your most important posts, open them, make changes as per recommendations made by Google, and then hit the update button.
I hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
P.S: Not to make any comparison but if you import to Yoast – the same thing happens.
