I can't adjust meta data in rank math seo box - Support

Hello,

I can’t adjust data like seo titles, meta descriptions and robots meta tags on page-level within the rank math seo box. When I try to save it, the systems doesn’t take the change.

The problem is for this site: https://www.uni-seeburg.at/

We tried the following fixes, but nothing worked:
– Delete rank math and all database data and reinstall it
– Put rank math on whitelist for wordfence validation
– checked, if other wp-sites with multisite setup have the same problem (they haven’t)

Actually we wanted to buy rank math premium. If you can fix this bug, we probably will. Because with our other sites it works great.

Please check the browser’s console when saving the changes and see if there are any errors related to the updateMeta route. You can also try whitelisting the updateMeta route in your server’s firewall or Cloudflare account(if you are using that): https://rankmath.com/kb/whitelist-rank-math-in-cloudflare/

I got this error message:

Mixed Content: The page at ‘https://www.uni-seeburg.at/wp-admin/post.php?post=72446&action=edit’ was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure resource ‘http://www.uni-seeburg.at/wp-json/rankmath/v1/updatemeta?_locale=user’. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.

Is there a problem?

Hello,

It seems that the API route is calling the HTTP version of the website and this causing this issue.

Please head over to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > General and make sure that both the site address and WordPress URL are in the correct HTTPS variation.

If that doesn’t help, please check the options table in the database and make sure that the entries site_url and home also have the same HTTPS variation and match exactly.

my developer looked in the database and site_url and home both run under an https version.

And the site address and the WordPress URL are also https.

In this case, please check with your web host if there’s any rule added to your Nginx config file which could affect the Rank Math routes for saving.
