  • I’d be happy to help with your SEO questions for your new website! For post structure, consider these best practices:

Headline Optimization: Use a clear, compelling title with target keywords. Use H1 for the main title and H2/H3 for subheadings to structure the content.

Meta Description: Write a unique, concise meta description that includes primary keywords. This helps with both SEO and user engagement.

Keyword Usage: Include your primary and secondary keywords naturally in your content, title, meta description, URL, and headings.

Internal Linking: Link to other relevant posts or pages on your site to improve navigation and SEO.

Image Optimization: Compress images and use descriptive alt text for each image.

Mobile-Friendliness: Ensure your site is responsive and loads quickly on mobile devices.

Call to Action (CTA): End each post with a CTA to engage readers and encourage them to take the next step, like subscribing or making a purchase.

Sorry my questions are a little more advanced, I do know basic seo. I’ll write the questions down here see if by chance you’re able to help me with them.

It’s for a calculator website. These questions are all in relations to SEO for my new site (which I will use a premium rank math account for)

Here is an example of the exact structure that I want, however I’m up for improvements: https://247calculator.com/snow-day-calculator/

    1. Should I just do 1 short meta description type of paragraph before the calculator? Instead of 2 long paragraphs? And alternately should I add another meta description on rank math’s meta description for this post.
    2. Should I add table of contents, and where?
    3. Should I add the html code of the calculator in the WordPress post, or create a private plugin, host the calculator code on the plugin, and display the calculator via shortcode? For seo purposes.
    4. If you scroll down the post above, I made it so the user can copy and paste the embed code if they want to display the calculator on their website, my purpose for this is to acquire link juice from the optional “powered by” link, the only problem is, when user copies the link to their sidebar, I will have 1 domain referral and possibly 100’s of backlinks for the same domain. Is this healthy for seo?
    5. Should I put the embed codes on a different category of the website, vs in the same post?
    6. And finally, if the embed codes is a great way to acquire backlinks, should I create a public wordpress plugin where users can simply add calculators to their websites via post, sidebar, or anywhere.

Thank you, I would appreciate advice on these items for the purpose of improving seo for the new website.

    Hello,

    1. A short intro paragraph is fine before the calculator so use Rank Math’s meta description field to create a concise, keyword-rich description for search engines.

    2. Since the post contains more content, you can go and add a table of contents above the calculator for user navigation.

    3. For SEO, either method you mentioned works as Google or any other search engine will just see the same although using a custom plugin with shortcode makes updates easier and keeps the post clean.

    4. Having multiple backlinks from the same domain is generally not harmful to SEO. However, their value diminishes due to diminishing returns from repeated links on the same site. Focus on ensuring the “powered by” link is relevant and provides value.

    5. Keeping it in the same post is fine. A separate category could work if it’s valuable standalone content. Just make sure to avoid duplication of content.

    6. A plugin is a great way to scale this strategy. Ensure it adds value, and use proper anchor text for the “powered by” link to maintain SEO health.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any other questions.
