Hello,
Thank you for getting in touch and we are sorry to hear about the issue you are facing.
That’s your favicon. Please note that Rank Math doesn’t control how the favicon will be applied on the SERP so ensure that you have correctly added the favicon to your website.
If your theme provides an option to add a favicon, please contact them to see if the favicon is correctly being added per Google’s standards.
Here are some information from Google you can follow:
https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/favicon-in-search
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need my assistance with anything else.
I was referring to the picture to the right of the search results (attaching a picture below). It appearsto be my site logo, not the favicon.

Hello,
The image shown in your screenshot is from the cropped version of your logo. Unfortunately, you can’t directly control the images that will appear on the SERP.
Please note that we don’t have any control over how images in the SERP results are displayed, and search engines display them as per their will and it mostly depends on the keyword search term and the website authority.
In this case, you can try to add relevant ALT text to the images/featured image on your homepage, and chances are search engines will refer to it.
Hope that helps.
Thank you.
What would be an idea of good ALT text to use if I don’t want them to use this cropped image?
Hello,
To show the desired image on the SERP, you need to ensure to add a descriptive alt text to your image that describes the image relative to your search keyword. In addition, you also need to mention the focus keyword.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need my assistance with anything else.
