Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with your sitemap in Google Search Console. The error message "noindex détecté dans l’en-tête HTTP X-Robots-Tag" indicates that your sitemap is being marked as noindex, which can prevent search engines from accessing it.
Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:
-
Check Your Robots.txt File: Ensure that there are no rules in your robots.txt
file that might be blocking access to your sitemap. You can check this by going to Rank Math SEO → General Settings → robots.txt.
-
Validate Your Sitemap: Use the Validate XML Sitemap tool to confirm that your sitemap is correctly configured. Enter your sitemap URL and click VALIDATE SITEMAP.

-
Check Rank Math Settings: Make sure that your posts are set to index. Go to Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta and ensure the Index checkbox is enabled in the Robots Meta settings.

-
Exclude Sitemap from Caching: If you have caching plugins, ensure that your sitemap is excluded from caching. This can help keep it updated for search engines. You can find more information on how to do this in our tutorial.
-
Check for Plugin Conflicts: Sometimes, other plugins may conflict with Rank Math. You can use the Health Check plugin to identify any potential conflicts.
-
Resubmit Your Sitemap: After making the necessary changes, remove your sitemap from Google Search Console and resubmit it as described in our tutorial.

If you continue to experience issues after trying these steps, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.
Thank you for raising this concern!

Hello,
That is normal as you should not inspect the sitemap URLs as those are only used for crawling.
Please note that by default, sitemaps are set to noindex as the posts inside them are meant to be crawled.
Also, remove all your submitted sitemaps and submit your main sitemap only /sitemap_index.xml

Once done, give Google some time to recrawl your sitemap and update the “Last read date” column in the sitemap section.
Looking forward to helping you.
