    Rank Math free

    Hi team,

I’ve exhausted a lot of options here but I cannot get the SEO analyzer to work. Have tried disabling firewall (wordfence), caching, etc – no luck. Flushed the Analyzer cache, reconnected the site to RankMath account. no luck.

    The site is webedge.com.au

Works fine on two of my other sites.

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the SEO Analyzer. The API Error: HTTP 400 can occur due to several reasons. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

    1. Check Website Status

Make sure your website is returning a 200 status code. You can check the status of your website using this tool: Check Website Status. Enter your URL and click Check Status.

Check website status with httpstatus tool

    2. API Timeout

If your website takes more than 30 seconds to load, it may result in a timeout error.

    3. API Requests Blocked by Firewall

Ensure that your server security or firewall is not blocking our API requests. You may need to whitelist the IP 46.30.211.100 and the user-agent RankMathApi/2.0.2; https://rankmath.com. This can usually be done in your firewall settings or by contacting your web hosting provider for assistance.

    4. Locally Hosted Website

If your site is hosted locally, the SEO Analyzer will not work as it requires a live site that returns a 200 OK status when crawled from an external site.

If you have checked all these points and are still experiencing issues, please reply to this ticket with any additional details or errors you might be seeing, and a human agent from our support team will assist you further.

Thank you for raising this concern!

I have tried all of the above from this article already. Nothing is helping. The site is not hosted locally.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

We tested the website with our external SEO Analyser and the site is showing an invalid response from the server as shown below:

Please get in touch with your host and ask them to whitelist the IP 46.30.211.100 and the user-agent RankMathApi/2.0.7; https://rankmath.com and see if that works for you.

For more details on this issue, please check this guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/api-http-400-error/

Hope this helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Thank you.

Hi Adetayo, Our hosting supplier has confirmed there are no blocks on these. We are unable to perform whitelists on IPs at a server level due to the shared hosting situation.

However, both fst.net.au and amwa.net.au are on the same hosting platform, and the Analyzer works fine for these.

Webedge.com.au was previously linked to a different RankMath account – can you please confirm this isn’t interfering with the API connection. Is there a way to create a new API key?

    Hello,

For additional troubleshooting, you may also ask your web host to ensure that the ModSecurity is disabled or that they are not blocking any process of the plugin.

Let us know how this goes.

    They won’t do that.

Please advise how I can request a refund, we only signed up two days ago. If we can’t get Analyser to work then the product isn’t fit for our purpose.

    Thanks

    Hello,

    Thank you for your patience.

We have already replied to your other ticket regarding your refund request.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,
