Then, reconnect your website to your Rank Math PRO account by going to WordPress dashboard > Rank Math dashboard > Help > Disconnect and Connect.
Once done, you can update the plugin from the plugin files.
To update the plugin automatically, enable auto-updates by going to WordPress dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > Version Control > Auto-Update: https://rankmath.com/kb/version-control/#auto-update

The paid subscriptions require that the person responsible for the plugin keep the website connected and if you no longer have contact with the developer it’s not possible to update the PRO plugin on your website, with your Free subscription.

Once you have purchaced Rank Math PRO you can go to your WordPress dashboard > Plugins then deactivate and delete the outdated Rank Math PRO plugin.
