Hey there, I have been seeing multiple useless pages of mine that are simply of no use getting indexed without my allowance. I have to remove them every time they appear, but a lot of pages are just getting indexed which is actually making it difficult to delete each one of them. The number is constantly increasing, please help me.

Also, none of my images were ranking over google images, so I turned on the option but some of them are redirecting to the homepage instead of the respected posts.

    Thanks and Regards

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

1). You can fix this problem by heading over to Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Select the post type and set the robots meta to “noindex”.

2). To fix this, please head over to Rank Math > General Settings > Links > Redirect Attachments and set this option to off. It is likely that orphaned attachments are being redirected to the homepage because of this setting.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

The issue is a numerous amount of tags and categories are getting indexed even though I have blocked them particularly. Even authors, images and tags. Please check that.

    Thanks

    Hi,

I randomly checked a few categories/tags and seems like the noindex tags is added properly: https://i.rankmath.com/RAQwM3

Please check the source code of the URL you think shouldn’t be indexed. Then, check the robots tag of that page. If it is set to noindex, there is nothing to be done. Google will automatically remove the URL in question over time.

If you set it as noindex but can’t see the noindex tag – please share the URL of the page/archive so we can check in more detail.

    Hey there,

Thanks a lot for looking into the matter, please stop this from creating more indexes as all these pages were set to no index since the moment I installed the plugin. I will particularly remove every useless link but some of them will cause problem which I will tell you to remove.

Please ensure that it should not increase the number of indexes.

    Thanks and Regards

    Hey there,
I have finally found the list of links that should not be indexed and are not getting removed by the link removal tool. Please check this link.

It could be due to some ill setting or anything please check that.

    Thanks & Regards

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I have checked some random links from the list and all these posts have not been set to noindex on the Rank Math metabox as shown below:
    Screenshot
You will need to manually set each of these posts to noindex from the Rank Math metabox to fix this.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

But the 1st one seans to be a bit more stubborn, I am hereby attaching all the images of the tags and categories that I have already turned no index but still, all the categories and even author is getting indexed. I am hereby attaching all the images related to this issue.

    1. Indexed Page
    2. Settings Misc. Pages

One thing more, I have ticked the Notify me of follow up box below, I think it’s not working.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for the delay.

Unfortunately your last response got stuck on our moderation queue and this is why we could not get back to you sooner.

Back to the issue, please note that setting a post to noindex will not immediately remove it from the SERP. This will take some time since search engine bots have to crawl your content to identify the noindex robots meta.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
