I am facing the issue that in google serp my blog post title is showing with the sitetitle and which I don’t like.
The title of my post is for example “Can Rabbits Eat Blackberries? – Discover Now” but in serp it is showing like Can Rabbits Eat Blackberries? – Discover Now – Rabbitur…. I only don’t want the site title which is showing in the last, so please guide me what should I do to remove it permanently.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to this issue.
I understand that you want to make changes to your site’s name that appears in the Google search results.
Google uses different sources to figure out and show your Site Name on SERPs
- og:site_name
- Website structured data (Schema)
- Content in title elements
- Heading elements, like H1
Among them, Rank Math automatically includes og:site_name, meta tag, and the Website Schema on your page. You can also check the Google documentation on site-name: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/site-names
However, as mentioned in the documentation, this process is automated by the algorithm and even though it takes into account the information on the website, it is still not guaranteed that your site name will come up correctly in Google SERPs since it’s solely decided by Google what they found relevant and user-friendly and which one they want to show.
Consider customizing your website’s schema, see https://rankmath.com/kb/rich-snippets/ or using a custom schema see https://rankmath.com/kb/schema-templates/.
Hope this helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.
Thanks.
Hello again,
In addition, in order to ensure that search engines display the correct title for your post, you need to set up the title meta properly.
You can set it up for individual posts by following this guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/seo-meta-tags/ or you can create a default template that all your new posts will use by following this guide here: https://rankmath.com/kb/titles-and-meta/.
Search engines can then use the title meta to display in search engine result pages.
I would suggest you give Google some time to recrawl the affected post and see if it updates the SERP or you can use the Rank Math Instant Indexing feature to hasten the process.
Please note that Google sometimes tries to adjust the title according to the search intent. Google may choose to display a different meta title for search query results. Google may sometimes ignore the custom metadata you have set and instead display something from the page’s content that better matches the search intent.
You can follow this URL for details on this issue: https://rankmath.com/kb/different-meta-title-and-description/
Here’s an article you can also check for reference:

Thank you.
Can you please simply tell me how cam I remove or block all the ways from where the google takes my site name?
I just don’t want the site name in my title of blog post!
Hello again,
Google takes the site title from the/name from your setting in the individual post or the template set in the Global setting of Rank Math.
As mentioned earlier,
You can set it up for individual posts by following this guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/seo-meta-tags/ or you can create a default template that all your new posts will use by following this guide here: https://rankmath.com/kb/titles-and-meta/.
If you have set up the post title properly on your website and you are yet to see the change in Google search engine, then you may need to allow Google to re-index the post.
You can use Rank Math’s Instant Indexing to submit the post URL. Please follow the guide below:
1. After the activation, head over to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Dashboard > Modules and enable the Instant Indexing module as shown below:
2) Then open the settings at Rank Math > Instant Indexing > Settings to select/ deselect whichever content you want to submit automatically. Ensure that Rank Math has generated an API Key. And then hit “Save Changes” to save your preferences.
3) Edit the post you want to change the title, and click on update. You don’t need to change anything. Rank Math will now automatically submit your URLs.
Alternatively,
You can also submit the post from the Posts page in WordPress Editor. On the Posts page, as you hover over the post, you’ll see a row of options. Choose the Instant Indexing: Submit Page option, as shown below.
Once the post gets submitted successfully, you’ll see a notice at the top of the page, similar to the one below.
As mentioned earlier,
It’s still not guaranteed that your site name will come up correctly in Google SERPs, since it’s solely decided by Google what they found relevant and user-friendly and which one they want to show. The best you can do is to follow the guidelines of Google strictly.
We hope that helps and we are here should you have any follow-up questions.
Thank you.
