My personal take on this is that there ought to be a recurring monthly amount of credits. Period.
IMHO, this “one and done” system is kinda dumb and bound to be extremely aggravating. And speaking for myself, I’d already be long since out of points if Rank Math had given out my points to me many months ago. I’ve never had the points I was due. Dunno why.
I’m at the Pro level with multiple sites. That’s PRO, mind you, and still I’d be SOL on credits with no way of getting more by this point if I had gotten them. It’s a good thing I have other SEO tools, because I wouldn’t be relying on the Rank Math credits by this point at all.
Anyway, it was only today (seriously), as I was setting up a new site, that I started to write an email to support on this issue. And as if reading my mind, the freakin’ credits I’ve long been due FINALLY arrived! Kismet?
Frankly, I think a credit purchase system is going to be absolutely necessary, because at Pro level you can easily burn through your points on one site in less than a month. That being said, I do think that paying customers should receive some points every month, even if they are only good for 30 days.
I understand that this kinda stuff is computation heavy and is probably costing you guys a lot of dough to implement, but this notion of you get a few points and then that’s it is NOT going to sit well with a lot of us. At least I don’t think so. For what it’s’ worth, I think it’s a major misstep in an otherwise very solid and well-thought-out product.
Anyway, my two cents. Other than this, Rank Math is freakin’ brilliant. So please, keep up the good (and inspired) work. ๐
P.S.: You could create a credits subscription, too, I imagine. You could buy 10 credits/mo., 25, 50, 100, etc. As long as the price was reasonable, I think many admins would like it. On the other hand, once you’re paying for credits, you won’t be happy if they “go away” after 30 days, either.
