How to make meta title include parent term

    Hi there, I would like my custom taxonomy archive pages to include the parent and child terms.

    For example if I have a custom taxonomy for video games called “Genre”, the parent taxonomy would be “Racing” and the child would be “Simulation”.

    Using the %term& placeholder, it would output only “Simulation” but I want it to output “Racing Simulation”

    How can I achieve this? I saw there’s a placeholder for %customterm(taxonomy-name)% but I can’t find how to use it anywhere.

    An example page on my site is in the Sensitive Data.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

    Using the example you have given, you can add the following for your title:
    %category% %term% where category variable would get the parent category and the term variable gets the current term, in this case child category. In case the taxonomy is a tag, you can use the variable %tag%

    The custom taxonomy term is used in a case where you have you own defined taxonomy probably using a plugin.

    Hi Michael, thanks for the reply.

    It’s a custom taxonomy, not a tag or category, so i’m afraid that doesn’t solve the issue.

    So you’re saying RankMath is unable to display the parent custom taxonomy or full term path?

    We are sorry but there is no option in Rank Math to pull all show all assigned terms to the current post/CPT.
