  • I don’t know but actual description is different than what I am typing. For point #2 just after like this is unable to see that in the actual ticket description.

    Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

To confirm, when you mention heading hierarchy, do you mean adding breadcrumbs?

Are you trying to insert a code? I see that your text has become an empty link. If so, use “`” to start and end the code.

To better understand your issue, please share a screenshot of the issue using tools like https://ibb.co or a screencast using https://loom.com.

    Looking forward to helping you.

Ok, Let me try this way. Your blog has different headings when inspected shows in the bracket, a=h2 then your heading.

I am not asking for a table of contents. That is fine with me.

I am having very long and lengthy blog posts that include a lot of headings, sub-headings, etc. which are not numbered i.e. not hierarchical for user understanding. Obviously which you are implementing.

I wanted some sort of information on how can I achieve that kind of heading number.

    Heading 1
    Heading 2
    1. Heading 3
    1.1 Heading 4
    1.1.1 Heading 5
    1.1.1.1 Heading 6
    2. Heading 3
    2.1 Heading 4
    2.1.1 Heading 5
    2.1.2 Heading 6

Hope I am able to convey my need. I really look forward to listening from you.

    Cheers!

    Hello,

    Thank you for following up.

Could you confirm if you wanted that numbering on the front page? If so, you can do that and format those headings up to H6. Please refer to this video screencast using the Gutenberg block editor:
    https://i.rankmath.com/ZBs5ih

If that didn’t help, could you please record a video screencast using a tool like Loom showing the issue and edit the first post on this ticket in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Thank you, and looking forward to helping you.

    Hi There

The video you shared above is of back end. I want it to be shown on front end. The numbers whicb I’ve shown in my previous reply.

You can consider numbering rankmath using on front end for heading numbers.

    Hello,

The headings in Rank math are still added as my colleague shows you in the screencast.

The hierarchical structure appearing to make them interconnected is because of presence of a Table of Content on the pages.

Here is an example screencast: https://i.rankmath.com/iT1AJa to show you how using a table of content you can automatically generate hierarchically structured headings.

If this is not the result you are looking for, please share a screencast of what you have in mind using a tool such is https://www.loom.com

    Looking forward to helping you

    Hi,

Thanks for your response. I understand myself unable to explain what I am trying to achieve, here’s a screencast as you asked https://www.loom.com/share/71e72e7ebb7445d2a59d23404b339c3c

The numbers are actually shown before each heading not only in TOC but also in the actual location. I think I am now more clear.

Please let me know how I can achieve that kind of numbered headings at the heading locations and not only in TOCs.

    Hello again,

Would you please check this screencast: https://i.rankmath.com/GU4rWo ? The functionality is all the same. The hierarchy numbers are added manually while adding your content. The rest is just styling.

    Hoping this helps.
