  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

The rule you added in your .htaccess file seems to not be producing the desired results as you can see from this image:
    Redirect www

Only one of these links should have a status o 200 while the other should be throwing a 301 status code.

Since it seems you want to force the non-www version on your website you’ll need to add the following rules to your .htaccess file:

    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.example.com [NC]
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://example.com/$1 [L,R=301]

Remember to change the domain to match your own.

Hope this helps solve your issue.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

    Hello,

    Thanks for your reply.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

Thank you for getting back to us.

Could you kindly confirm with us if you want to fully change the non-www URL to a www URL or you simply want to have a redirect of your non-www to www URL?

Please note that there is a difference between the two as one is just a redirect.

To permanently change it to the www version you can go to the WP general settings and change your site and WordPress URL.

We are looking forward to helping you.

I want to solve the problem of WWW Canonicalization, RANK MATH says I have this problem

WWW Canonicalization – The www and non-www versions of your URL are not redirected to the same site.

    Hello,

Thank you for getting back to us.

Well for such an issue, HTTP/HTTPS and WWW/non-WWW canonical issues can be fixed by implementing a sitewide 301 redirect to the correct version of your URL.

Depending on the hosting provider you are using this can be fixed via redirects. There are several ways to set up a sitewide redirect. The simplest, least risky method is to set up the redirect through your website’s host.

You can start by searching Google for either “HTTP to HTTPS redirect [host name]” or “WWW to non-WWW redirect [host name]” and see if your host has a support page explaining how to make the change.

Conversely, if you are not confident in changing this by yourself, I would most likely recommend you to contact your host’s support team for help.

Hope this is helpful. We are looking forward to assisting you more.
    Thank you.
