Hello,
Thanks for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
If you don’t want Google to crawl and index your article then you can add the rule given below in your robots.txt file from WP Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Edit Robots.txt:
Disallow: /slug-of-your-article/
This will stop Google from crawling your article.
Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any further assistance.
No No i mean the page is indexed but not show in google search
Hello,
I’m not sure whether I fully understand the question. Could you please describe the question?
Also, please share the affected URL so that we can take a closer look at it.
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
My question is simple, my question is, did Google bot index my post but the post should not show in Google Search?
Hello,
Adding a No Index tag or a disallow rule in the robots.txt just gives bots a directive that you do not wish to get the page indexed, but it does not restrict the bots from doing so.
Even if the No Index tag/disallow rule is applied, bots may index the page.
If you wish to get a page de-indexed quickly, you may post a manual de-indexing request from your Google Search Console account > Removals: https://search.google.com/search-console/removals
Hope this helps.
Thank you.
