How to generate sitemap for child website?

    Rank Math free

I do have a website and it has a child website for the blog section. And I don’t know why Rank Math is not generating a .xml file for the child website or it won’t generate for the child website.

I do have any issues with the main website but the issue is with the child website. Google indexed up to the 25th post of the child website but didn’t index after that. I have checked all the errors and possible errors but couldn’t find any.

Hope to get the answer to my queries as soon as possible.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

Rank Math does not generate a static XML file for the sitemaps as they are created virtually on your site. By mentioning a child website, do you mean a site built from a subfolder on your website’s root directory? Please also share the URLs so we can check them properly.

Meanwhile, for initial troubleshooting, please make sure that your sitemap is not getting cached. Please follow these steps:

    1. Ensure you’re using the latest version of your plugins/theme including the Rank Math plugin.

    2. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

    3. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server:

    I hope that helps.

    Thank you.
