Could you confirm if you’re marking the images as “index” from the Media Gallery? If yes, then those are not the “index” status for images, rather, they’re the attachment pages that WordPress automatically creates for each uploaded attachment.
These attachment pages usually have very very thin content and thus they’re not beneficial from an SEO perspective. If the goal is only to get the images indexed, then you do not need to mark the attachment pages as “index”.

The feature to mark the posts/pages/CPTs to Index in bulk is available in the PRO version of Rank Math only: https://rankmath.com/kb/bulk-editing-in-rank-math/#set-to-index
Unfortunately, you’ll have to mark these pages to Index manually.
