As we read the contents from within the post editor window, only the external links present inside the post editor window can be opened in a new tab.
For links outside the post editor window, you can manually set them to open in a new tab. Here’s the HTML attribute that opens the link in a new tab: target="_blank".
Or you may use a third-party plugin that offers the feature to apply the attribute throughout the website.
