I don’t know how to explain it, I have a blog application download blog, every article has a download page the like:

    Article: domain.com/post-name/
    Download Page: domain.com/post-name/download

The problem is the download page is getting indexed in SERP. I don’t know how to add that noindex nofollow meta tag for the /download path.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting us.

You can add a disallow statement in the robots.txt file to instruct the bots to not crawl the download pages.

Please add the below statement in the robots.txt file:

    user-agent: *
    disallow: /download

If you’re using the robots.txt of Rank Math, then please refer to this guide to edit the robots.txt file:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-edit-robots-txt-with-rank-math/

Once you’ll add the above statement, your download pages would start getting de-indexed within few days.

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.

Thanks Prabhat, I have already done the same, I was not sure if using disallow in robots.txt will work or not, but now it’s clear to me.

    Thanks you for helping 😊
